JOHN R. McDONALD, a Shareholder in the Tucson office, has a commercial litigation practice, with particular emphasis in employment, construction and real estate matters. Mr. McDonald has for a number of years handled cases for the Arizona Risk Management Administration, representing several state agencies. He has given presentations on employment and school law for the State Bar of Arizona, University of Arizona Labor Management Conference, Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council, State Bar of Arizona Labor Law Section, National Business Institute seminars, ASBA and NSBA conventions, ASBA University of Boardsmanship, ASBA Law conferences, Arizona Department of Education Principals Academy, ASU Principals Conference and ASU Administrators classes. He has also given presentations on trial practice to the National Education Network. He has served on the Attorney General's Open Meeting Law Handbook Committee, Joint Legislative Committee on Election Law and the State Department of Education Free Enterprise Task Force. A past President of the Arizona School Boards Association and the Pima County Bar Association, Mr. McDonald is a member of the NSBA Council of School Attorneys and the Arizona Law Review Association. He is Director Emeritus of the Comstock Children's Foundation and former President and Director of the Tucson Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Mr. McDonald is the first recipient of the Arizona School Boards Association’s John R. McDonald Award. Mr. McDonald is listed in Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in America.
