Marian C. LaLonde is an Associate in the Tucson office. Ms. LaLonde is practicing in the areas of natural resources, equine, agricultural, environmental, civil litigation and administrative law. Ms. LaLonde also has specialized experience working with tribal governments and with the Bureau of Indian Affiars on mineral/business development, rights-of-way and leasing on Indian lands.
Ms. LaLonde graduated from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education and a Minor in Political Science. She received her J.D. from the University of Arizona in 2006. While in law school, Ms. LaLonde lobbied the 47th Regular Session of the Arizona Legislature and secured passage of the Emancipation of Minors law, A.R.S. §§ 12-2451 – 12-2456. She was also a member of the 2006-2007 Moot Court Board and participated in the Law School's Child Advocacy Clinic where she represented children involved in the State Foster Care System. Formerly, Ms. LaLonde worked as a rule writer for the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality.
Ms. LaLonde actively participates in homeless youth and child advocacy efforts in the community. She is an alumnus of Youth on Their Own and is am ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. She has been a presenter and keynote speaker at seminars related to homeless and at-risk youth, foster care, emancipation, and the legislative process.
Ms. LaLonde serves on the Board of Trustees for the Community Foundation of Southern Arizona and is also a Board member for the Southern Arizona Affiilate of Susan G. Komen for a Cure. In 2008, Ms. LaLonde was honored as the Tucson Business Edge 40 Under 40 Woman of the Year. In addition to her community work, she serves as Vice President for the Old Adobe Arabian Horse Association and enjoys competing regionally and nationally with her horses, Scarlett, Brooklin and Bre.
